Cascade Medical Center


Cascade Medical Center Hospital District (CMC) is a 10-bed Critical Access Hospital.The governing Board consists of 7 elected members of Valley County, ID with an average tenure of 7 years.  The CEO/Administrator is appointed as Secretary Treasurer and is a non-voting member. The hospital is licensed with 10 beds with an ADC of 1. There is 4 active medical staff covering the hospital, ER and Rural Health Clinic and another 7 consulting staff roles.  The Rural Health Clinic had 4170 patient visits. The Combined Gross Patient Revenue is $3,400,000.  Other services include physical therapy, laboratory, radiology and 24/7 emergency departments. Key indicators are 200 days cash on hand, 0 debt, an operating profit for past 3 years and a growth rate of 20%. The Healthland Electronic Medical Record System and Accounting Software were installed in 2014.  Attestation of Meaningful Use Stage I completed in September 2014 and Meaningful Use Stage II Attestation planned for October, 2015. The entire facility performs on one software integrated platform.

Area Attractions

Cascade is the county seat of Valley County, ID located 70 miles north of Boise, ID on Highway 55. Nestled  between the Boise National Forest and Payette National Forest with Lake Cascade (25 miles wide and 5 miles long) just 3 blocks from the hospital. Cascade lies next to the North Fork of the Payette River in a great western valley with a long history of ranching, forestry and mining.  Today large cow calf operations and hay production cover the valley floor and the US Forest Service land has transitioned into recreation playgrounds.  West Mountain has Tamarack Resort and Ski Area adjacent to Lake Cascade.  There are over 150 lakes and streams within a 50 mile radius of Cascade.  Cascade is home to the Payette River Games at Kelly’s Whitewater Park and has over 500 campsites on Lake Cascade.
