Desired Education: Bachelors Degree and certification as a Registered Dietician
Bear Lake Memorial Hospital is seeking a hard-working, dependable individual to manage the dietary department.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide explanations for food and nutrition issues.
Establish proper meal plans for the patient in accordance with their preference, health, and financial capabilities.
Evaluate the health and diet needs of patients.
Calculate patient nutritional requirements.
Analyze nutritional content of food.
Educate other healthcare professionals about food and nutrition.
Run health promotion clinics in hospitals, pharmacies, and other community settings.
Educate the public about the need for proper dieting, its importance in disease prevention, etc.
Conduct dietary, nutritional, and epidemiological research.
Attend Care Plan Conferences for residents.
Assist the Dietary Manager in the planning of menus for patients and residents.
Organize and facilitate support groups.
Previous experience with dietary duties preferred
Good organizational and communication skills
Must be able to get along with others and have teamwork concept
Must be flexible and willing to work various shifts/hours
Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Must have food handlers permit or be willing to work with the hospital to obtain one
Must have the ability to contribute to the culture and/or mission of the most caring hospital
