Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) seeks a Physician Assistant (PA-C) to support the Colorectal and General surgeons in both the clinic and operating rooms. This practice is a full-spectrum colorectal and general surgery practice that includes robotic, endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures. The Physician Assistant will assist with seeing patients in the clinic in partnership with supervising physician, assist with patient rounding in the hospital, and in the operating room.
This position will initially work with one of the three colorectal surgeons in the practice, but will eventually shift to a group-based model where responsibilities are rotated among all the physician assistants in the general surgery practice allowing for the opportunity to expand skills and well-rounded experience.
The qualified candidate will show evidence of comprehensive assessment skills, expert clinical skills and problem solving abilities and commit to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care. In addition to having exceptional clinical skills the PA must demonstrate a collaborative approach in working with the other team members. The PA works in harmony with the surgeons to ensure the highest quality clinical outcomes while providing exceptional patient experience.
Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant in Idaho and Oregon; valid controlled substance registration with Idaho; Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
Physician Assistant (PA):Successful completion of PA Graduate Program (Masters Level preferred) and NCCPA certification (PA-C).
Preference given to those with current BCLS, ACLS, and ATLS.
