Reports To:Director of Therapy Services
Experience:Two years experience as a licensed Speech Therapist/Pathologist preferred but will accept applications with the desired education level.
Desired Education Level:Requires a Masters Degree and current certification through The American Speech Therapy Association.
Bear Lake Memorial Hospital is seeking a hard working, dependable Speech Therapist/Pathologist. The Therapist will assess, diagnose, treat, and help to prevent disorders related to speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing and fluency.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Identify childrens developmental speech and communication difficulties/disorders
Assess and treat swallowing and communication difficulties arising from a variety of causes
Devise, implement and revise relevant treatment programs
Advise caregivers on implementing treatment programs
Train other professionals in therapy delivery
Assess communication environments
Monitor and evaluate clients progress
Write and maintain confidential client case notes
Manage a caseload taking account of priority cases
Work alongside other healthcare professionals
Must contribute to the culture and/or vision of the most caring hospital
Must have a Masters Degree in Speech Pathology/Therapy. Must have current certification with The American Speech Therapy Association. Two years experience is preferred. Must have strong abilities in verbal and written communication, and organizational skills. Ability to schedule time effectively. Prioritize work appropriately. Ability to work as a team within and throughout departments/workgroups. Positive attitude. Commitment to quality improvement and safety efforts.
