Saint Alphonsus Health System
This position is on our Med/Surg floor located at our Baker City, OR hospital. Baker City Medical serves a patient population ranging from 6 months to 99+ years. The diagnoses range from acute post-op orthopedic surgeries to occasional general surgeries. This department also encounters medical diagnoses that need hospitalization like pneumonia, urinary tract infection, failure to thrive, and post-fall recovery. They also have daily therapies [PT/OT/ST] for patient rehabilitation and long-term IV therapy. In this small community, you can see multi-generation family members throughout the nursing tenure. Most staff work three or two 12-hour shifts and work together to cover during high-stress situations.
Must have successfully completed an approved Certified Nursing Assistant Level I Acute Care course.
License and Certification:
Must be licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant Level I Acute Care in the State of Oregon.
BLS certification required.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
